Jil Sander, a big name in international fashion, has been invited by Pitti Immagine, as an edition of Pitti Uomo. 

Thursday, June 17, 2010, Raf Simons, creative director of fashion house, presented a preview of his Menswear Collection with an unusual fashion show formula. With the presence of Jil Sander at Pitti Uomo in Florence, continues a season starring the great brand of choice for fashion and contemporary elegance: a tribute to the companies which have always been quality, excellence, innovation, product culture, and Florence (Villa Gamberaia) was chosen to present the top buyers and the press around the world.

Villa Gamberaia, in the Florentine hills, will be the location of the Jil Sander Spring Summer 2011 fashion show. In the splendid setting of the historic residence, built in 1300 and belonged to the most prestigious noble families of Europe, will parade the clothes designed by Raf Simons, creative director of the brand.

"The gardens of Villa Gamberaia are so famous for their structural rigor and restricted palette that a historian once detailed the tonal variations of green. There is the blackish green of cypress, the bluish green of boxwood, the mossy light-absorbing green of yew. There was the lacquered limousine-green of privet, the almost acidic green of lemon trees, and the refreshing green of new mown grass."
